A Blendsday at the Races

It's been a while since I've done one of these...

You know what can turn a good day crappy for me?  I hear "We will Rock You" on the radio, and they DON'T play "We Are The Champions" immediately afterwards, like God and Freddie intended.  What's the world coming to?

  1. I almost bought a jacket alarmingly similar to the one pictured above yesterday. Not joking.

I loved this Blendsday. Including the title.

    Au star.

  2. This post came to mind because I heard both of the first-person-plural songs on the radio yesterday... in their proper order. But it reminded me of the times when they've done it wrong! :-)

    1. He He He.

I'm hoping that some hint of Chlorine's weirdness persists in Josie's current adventures.

  4. I really like the idea of fleet Mercury in running shoes!

    1. That didn't occur to me! :-)

If you google "Freddie Mercury action figure," you'll see that this whole ensemble, sneakers and all, is iconic enough to have been archived in tiny plastic figurine form. I suppose his earlier harlequin outfit may be better known, but it's more difficult to wrap that around an entry in the periodic table!

  5. Love Freddie Mercury and Queen (members whose names I cannot remember). :D

    Very clever picture!

    1. Freddie was special, wasn't he? I also really admire Brian May (the tall-coiffed guitarist): after decades of fame and fortune with Queen, in 2007 he went back to school and finished his PhD in astrophysics. Dr. May still spends a bit of his down-time doing research with his colleagues at University College London!

  6. That illustration is maybe the most adorable dorkism ever made...that I have seen so far that is. I guess I will keep checking in.

    1. Great to hear from you, Violet! Click on the "Blendsday" label above the comments to see other potentially adork-able images... :-)
