There are times where I think you can tell that William Daniels had some training as a dancer.<br /><br />I should warn people that nearly all of this movie is much more corny and hokey -- and charming -- than one would expect for something made in 1972, well past the golden age of musicals. (But then there's that bit where Thomas Jefferson's wife comes for a visit, and the writing of the Declaration is put on hold for a while.
